Muine-yama

↕ 1163 m · 2 Routes · Explore in 3D

🌋 Muine-yama is reported to have the largest number of avalanche fatalities of any mountain in the Sapporo region (per the Hokkaido avalanche research record) — steep east-facing slopes and deep, tight runout gullies are the main reason. Check the Japan Avalanche Network bulletin and choose slopes conservatively.
