🌋 Iwaonupuri is an active volcano of the Niseko volcanic group (JMA-listed and monitored; no volcanic alert level is currently operated and no access restriction is in force). The crater area west of the summit is sulphur/geothermal ground with recorded historical fumarole activity. Check the latest JMA volcano information before touring.
